Original vintage artwork for a billboard sized poster for A Girl in Every Port, from 1928. In the 1920s and 1930s, many of the larger theaters employed poster artists. These artists would design and create original posters for the films, incorporating their own designs with pieces of the original studio-issued posters.
This billboard poster is a perfect example that style, combining original artwork with images from the official posters for A Girl in Every Port. Louise Brooks is pictured twice as Marie, a girl in France. The poster is on heavy cardboard stock and huge. It has been cut into four pieces and measures 82" tall and 92" wide.
